Last Chance to Get 5% Cash Back on All Purchases with the Citi CashReturns Card

The Citi CashReturns card offers 5% cash back on all purchases for the first three months that you hold the card, with NO limit to the cash you can earn. It’s a truly incredible deal, especially if you can get a large credit limit. 5% is enough so that it even becomes profitable to pay your taxes with your credit card.

However, all good things must come to an end and the offer must have become too expensive for Citi to continue as the 5% offer was pulled from their site today. Instead, the card will only earn a flat 1% cash back, with an “additional 20% bonus” for your first year. Reading the fine print, what it really means is that you’ll earn a 1.2% rebate for the first year.

~~The 5% offer is still available for a limited time here, though it will probably be gone by Wednesday.~~

Citi Increases PremierPass and AA Card Signup Bonuses

Citi has just sweetened the signup offers for a number of its mileage/point-earning cards. The tradeoff is that you will need to reach a minimum spending limit in order to earn them. Here’s a summary of changes:

Citi PremierPass® Card
- Before: 5,000 bonus points after your first purchase is made within 2 months
- Now: 10,000 bonus points after $300 in purchases made within 3 months of account opening
Citi PremierPass® Card – Elite Level
- Before: 15,000 bonus points after your first purchase is made within 2 months of account opening
- Now: 20,000 bonus points after $600 in purchases made within 3 months of account opening
Citi® Gold / AAdvantage® World MasterCard®
- Before: Earn 12,500 Bonus Miles after your first purchase with the card
- Now: 15,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles after you make $750 in purchases within 4 months of becoming a card member

The WaMu ESPN Total Access Visa card offers an intro 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 6 months with all BT fees waived for transfers performed within the first 90 days of account opening. Upon making your first purchase, you’ll also receive 2,500 points through the ESPN Total Access Rewards Program. Points can be redeemed for tickets and VIP access to sporting events, merchandise and collectibles, retail, dining and other travel rewards. 2,500 points is redeemable, for example, for a $25 gift card at the ESPN Shop.

According to a couple of posters here and here on FT, there is a new Starwood Preferred Guest Business credit card offer that they received via e-mail that mirrors the offer for the personal card:

10,000 Starpoints with your first purchase.
15,000 Starpoints when you spend $15,000 in 6 months.

~~The business card offer is supposed to be located at this link. However, when I visit the link, I only see the standard 10,000 Starpoint offer.~~

Chase Freedom Card: $150 Bonus After $3000 in Spending

SD reports the following deal: When you sign up for the Chase Freedom credit card using this link, you’ll receive $50 in bonus rebates and another $100 in bonus rebates after you spend $3000. This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts. Existing cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.

Note that, as usual with Chase Freedom cash redemptions, if you save up $200 in bonus rebates, you can redeem them for a $250 check.

Barclays Introduces New Miles and More MasterCard with Up to 35,000 Bonus Miles

Miles and More, the frequent flyer program of 12 European airlines, including Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss and others, has partnered with Barclays to launch a new credit card for US consumers. The new card comes in a couple of different versions: The Premier Miles & More World MasterCard and the Miles & More World MasterCard. Each card has a number of attractive features, including the following:

Both cards also come with an intro balance transfer rate of 0% for 6 months. The associated BT fee is 3% with a min of $5 and a max of $50. This means that those with elite status can potentially earn 35,000 bonus miles with a 0% balance transfer of $15,000, without paying an annual fee.

Citi® Platinum Select® / AAdvantage® World MasterCard®: 25,000 Bonus AAdvantage® Miles

Citi now has an offer for 25,000 bonus AAdvantage® Miles when you sign up for a new AAdvantage® credit card and spend $750 within 4 months. The annual fee is also waived for the first year as part of this deal.

The offer can be found here and is valid until May 31, 2008, per FW.

Note that if you plan to spend at least $10,000 in a year on the card that there is another viable option available, with up to 40,000 bonus miles: 20,000 after spending $750 within four months, another 10,000 miles after spending at least $10,000 in the first year, and a final 10,000 bonus miles for spending at least $10,000 in your second year. That offer is available here and is available until November 30, 2007.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to spend $750 on the card, you can take advantage of this offer which will give you 15,000 bonus miles after your first purchase of any amount.
