Priceline Visa Gets New Perks, Making Grandfathered 2% Version Even Better

Barclays recently notified existing Priceline Visa cardholders that it would be adding a number of new benefits to the card. The new perks include bonus points back when redeeming for travel, no foreign transaction fees and more flexible redemption. What’s particularly interesting is that these new benefits are also being extended to those with the grandfathered 2%/5% version of the card, making the grandfathered version better than ever.

US Airways Credit Cardholders: Get $25 for Receiving Online Statements

For a limited time, existing US Airways cardholders can make an easy $25. When cardholders elect to receive their statements electronically and then make any purchase by December 31, 2014, they’ll receive a $25 statement credit. Even if you already are enrolled in paperless statements, you can still take advantage of this offer. Simply temporarily change your settings to receive paper statements, then log out and log back in and you should see a pop-up to sign up for paperless statements to receive a $25 statement credit.

The US Airways® Premier World MasterCard®: 40,000 Bonus Miles After First Purchase

US Airways just sweetened the deal on The US Airways® Premier World MasterCard®, now offering 40,000 bonus miles after your first purchase and payment of the $89 annual fee. In the past, the card has typically offered 30,000 to 40,000 bonus miles for signing up, but required a balance transfer to be completed to earn the full bonus amount. With balance transfers incurring a 3% fee, the current deal is much more attractive.

Hawaiian Airlines Transitioning All Existing Credit Card Accounts to Barclaycard – 35,000 Mile Bonus Available

If you have a Hawaiian Airlines credit card from Bank of America or Bank of Hawaii, there are some significant changes coming your way. Hawaiian Airlines will soon be switching existing cardholders to either the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard for consumers or the Hawaiian Airlines Business MasterCard for small businesses, using Barclaycard as the issuing bank. While the transition will result in more fees, cardholders will also enjoy a number of new benefits. A few of the major changes include: an increase in the annual fee to $89 and a free checked bag privilege if you use your card to buy the ticket. These changes will become effective April 28, 2014. Current cardholders are expected to receive their new cards in the mail in mid-April.

Barclaycard, FNBO Now Offering Credit Scores for Free

Barclaycard and First National Bank of Omaha credit card holders will soon be able to access their credit scores for free, as part of a partnership with pioneering credit scoring company FICO. In addition, FICO said it is currently in talks with other banks to provide the free credit scoring service to their customers, as well.

No More 2% Rebate for the Priceline Visa?

Are the days of earning at least 2% cash back on all purchases for the Priceline Rewards™ Visa® Card numbered? For existing cardholders, the answer to that question is unclear.

What does seem to be the case, however, is that the previous, excellent offer that earned 5 points per $1 spent on “Name Your Own Price” transactions at Priceline.com and 2 points per $1 spent on all other transactions is no longer available to new customers.
