It’s no April’s Fools joke–Amex is welcoming the arrival of April with a load of new Sync deals. The great news is that most of them are available through Twitter, meaning that any Amex cardmember can access them. Among the offers are discounts at Lowes, Crate & Barrel and BP. Read on for all the details.

One of the great things about Amex Sync deals is that they are completely couponless–once you sign up for the offer, all you need to do is use your registered card to meet the offer’s spending requirement in order to receive your statement credit. That you’re effectively getting a discount is completely transparent at the point of sale.

How to sign up using Twitter
In order to participate through Twitter:

1. First, you’ll need to connect or “sync” your eligible American Express Card with Twitter (See instructions here or read this post if you’re completely new to Twitter)
2. Tweet using the appropriate hashtag for the promotion
3. Wait to receive an “@ reply” message from @AmexOffers stating that the offer has been added to your card. You’ll see this message on the “Notifications” page under “Interactions.” You may need to wait a while before it shows up.
4. Finally, use your synced Amex to make an eligible purchase during the offer period.

Signing up through other channels
Note that these offers may also be available in your American Express online account. So, if you don’t have a Twitter account already and don’t want to create one, you can login to your account and look under the “Offers For You” tab.

Alternatively, some of these offers are also available through Facebook. To enroll in these promos using Facebook:

1. First make sure that you have “liked” the Amex Sync app and registered your Amex at https://apps.facebook.com/amexlinklikelove/.
2. Once you have registered your American Express card with the app, you’ll be presented with offers that you can add to your card. (Note that you may need to click on the “Load more offers” button near the bottom of the page multiple times to view all of your offers.)
3. When you see an offer you like, click the “Get Offer” button.
4. A new frame will pop up with the offer terms. Click the “Add to Card” button to register your card for the promotion.
5. Finally, use your synced Amex to make an eligible purchase during the offer period to earn your statement credit.

There is no guarantee, however, that all of the previously mentioned offers will be available in your online account or Facebook, which is why Twitter is generally the preferred means to enroll.
