The latest Amex Offer seems to be an occasionally recurring one, having popped up a few times in the past year. Under this promo, when you register your American Express card and then spend at least $250 at Best Buy either in store or online at bestbuy.com, you’ll receive a $25 statement credit. This current offer is good through September 2, 2014.

Of particular note is that this offer is not valid at Best Buy Express, on Geek Squad services made outside of Best Buy stores, Best Buy Parts Store, Best Buy Private Store & Auction or at standalone Pacific Sales stores. It also excludes e-gift cards, corporate gift cards, and PayPal purchases.

However, the promo is particularly flexible because not only can you use it on normal Best Buy merchandise, but you can also purchase Visa gift cards, or many other third-party gift cards to receive the credit.

Enrolling through Twitter
To enroll in this promo through Twitter, cardmembers must first connect their Amex with Twitter, tweet using #AmexBestBuy, then receive a response from @AmexOffers stating that the offer has been added to your connected card. Once they have received the response from @AmexOffers, they must then use their card to spend $250 or more at Best Buy.

Enrolling through other channels
As with most other Amex Offers, if you don’t want to sign up through Twitter, you may also be able to register for this promotion through other channels:

• Your AmericanExpress.com account – Log into your online account and click on the “Amex Offers For You” tab. Click the “Save Offer” button next to a deal to enroll your card.
• Use the American Express iPhone App and visit the ‘Offers For You’ tab in the ‘Membership’ section
• Through Facebook at amex.co/facebook
