Vectra Bank is in Colorado. I applied for this credit card over this past weekend and received a reply on line that my application was declined for the following reason: “Applicant lives out of service area.” Unfortunately, I can see no where on their Web site or application where their service area is. Seems strange to me…why did their online application even have a drop-down menu of all the states in the Union if they have a limited service area.

Bill, thanks for the heads up. I suppose the issue is moot at this point since the 12 month offer has expired, but I called up the number on disclosures page and spoke with a rep. What she said was that the offer was limited to Vectra customers in Colorado.

However, this post contradicts that claim, so I’m not sure what to believe.
