Introducing the Automatically Updated Amex / Twitter Offers List

Amex / Twitter Offers ListAmex Offers, previously known as “Amex Sync” offers, allow American Express cardmembers to register their cards for special savings on a wide selection of offers–ranging from dining, shopping and more. The discounts are often substantial and better yet, they are transparent at the point-of-sale, meaning that they can be stacked with other discounts and coupons.

While this is a fantastic benefit for Amex cardmembers, the main problem with the system is that you must individually sign up for each deal, which requires that you’re aware that the promo exists in the first place. Given that American Express doesn’t provide a centralized place where all available offers are listed, this can be a headache. That’s where our new list of Amex / Twitter offers comes in.

How it works
As new Amex Offers for Twitter become active, they will get automatically added to the list. The list includes a link to the full terms of the offer, the Twitter hashtag you’ll need to sign up for the offer, as well as the dates that the promo is active. When an offer has expired, it is automatically removed from the list. As some deals also limit their enrollment to a maximum number of cardmembers, the list will also indicate when the maximum enrollment for an offer has been reached.

Why only show Amex Offers for Twitter?
As those familiar with Amex Offers know, Amex Offers are available through a number of channels, including Twitter, Facebook, the Amex iPhone app, as well as your AmericanExpress.com online account. In fact, it is often the case that a promo is available through another channel, but is not available on Twitter. The problem is that Amex Offers that show up through the non-Twitter channels are specific to your account, based on factors such as your locale and account history. And if an offer doesn’t show up in your account, you can’t sign up for it.

In contrast, if an offer is available on Twitter, it is available for everyone to sign up for. So, if an offer shows up on the list, as long as you have an eligible American Express card, you should be able to take advantage of it.
